Rozsáhlý tematický výber z díla proslulé ceské fotografky humanisticky orientovaného dokumentu predstavuje ty její snímky, jež zachycují moudrost i strasti vysokého veku. Najdeme tu reportáže z každorocních srazu legionáru u Masarykova hrobu, fotografie popisující práci ctihodných sester, pecujících o postižené deti, ci série, ukazující atmosféru života v domovech duchodcu. Podstatnou cást knihy tvorí cykly, dokumentující stárí významných predstavitelu ceské kultury (architekt Otto Rothmayr). Z mnoha skvelých portrétu (Jan Patocka, Jirina Hauková, Ludvík Aškenazy) vynikají ty, jež se už staly klasickými. Dnes lze ríci, že treba na Josefa Váchala ci Bohuslava Reynka vzpomínáme práve ocima Dagmar Hochové. A to je ta nejvetší pocta, které se muže fotografovi dostat. EnglishAn extensive thematic selection from the work of a famous Czech female photographer of the humanism-oriented document presents her photographs capturing wisdom and hardships of the old age. In this selection we find reportages from the annual rallies at the grave of T. G. Masaryk, photographs depicting the work of venerable sisters who také care of disabled children, or the series revealing the atmosphere of life in rest houses. The main body of the book consists of the cycles documenting the old age of the luminaries of the Czech culture (architect Otto Rothmayr). Outstanding among many other excellent portraits (e.g. Jan Patocka, Jirina Hauková, Ludvík Aškenazy) are those that became classic. One can say that Josef Váchal or Bohuslav Reynek, for instance, are remebered through eyes of Dagmar Hochová, which is the greatest reward an artist – photographer can ever achieve. DeutschDiese umfassende thematische Auswahl aus der Schöpfung der berühmten auf humanistisches Dokument orientierten tschechischen Fotografin stellt Aufnahmen vor, die sowohl die Weisheit als auch Leid des hohen Alters festhalten. Sie enthält Reportagen aus den alljährlichen Legionäretreffen am Masaryks Grab, Fotografien der Ordenschwestern bei der Betreuung behinderter Kinder oder Serien, die sich der Atmosphäre des Altersheims widmen. Einen wesentlichen Teil der Publikation bilden Zyklen aus den alten Tagen bedeutender Persönlichkeiten der tschechischen Kultur (z. B. des Architekten Otto Rothmayrs). Von vielen ausgezeichneten Porträten (Jan Patocka, Jirina Hauková, Ludvík Aškenazy) wurden viele bereits klassisch. Die Erinnerungen z. B. an Josef Váchal oder an Bohuslav Reynek sind mit den Aufnahmen deiser Autorin eng verbunden. Und dies ist die größte Ehre, die es einem Fotograf zuteilwerden kann.
