Krajina tu vystupuje v nejruznejších podobách, at už realistické, jako fantazijní prelud (Sklenár, Tikal) ci abstraktní skladba (Malich, Sýkora). Publikaci je uvedena dvemi eseji, jež analyzují, jak se chápání krajiny odráželo v kulturním povedomí naší civilizace (J. Andel, Z. Vašícek). Následují dve umenovedné state, zkoumající pojetí krajiny pred (N. Reháková) a po (Z. Miller) druhé svetové válce. The book is introduced by two essays analyzing how the understanding of the landscape has been reflected in the cultural consciousness of our civilization (J. Andel, Z. Vašícek). These are followed by two art-historical essays that study the approach to the landscape before (N. Reháková) and after (Z. Miller) the World War II. Es sind hier sowohl typische Landschaftsmaler (A. Slavícek, A. Hudecek, V. Rabas, J. Trampota, J. John, I. Ouhel), als auch Autoren, bei denen die Landschaftsmalerei nur einen Teil ihrer Schöpfung darstellt, vertreten. Die Landschaft erscheint hier in verschiedensten Formen, in der realistischen, als phantastische Illusion (bei Sklenár und Tikal), oder als abstrakte Komposition (bei Malich und Sýkora). Die Publikation ist durch zwei Essays eingeleitet, in den analysiert wird, wie sich die Auffassung der Landschaft im kulturellen Bewußtsein unserer Zivilisation widerspiegelte (J. Andel, Z. Vašícek). Zwei darauffolgende kunstwissenschaftliche Artikel befassen sich mit der Auffassung der Landschaft vor dem zweiten Weltkrieg (N. Reháková) und nach dem Krieg (Z. Miller).
