In Austria 1945, after losing his family, Jakob shelters with a Spanish Riding School groom at a country farm where precious Lipizzanner stallions are being hidden from the Nazis. When a German officer comes looking, Jakob and his guardian know they must get themselves and the stallions to safety, but the only way is straight through Nazi territory.
